Alright moppets, it's been a couple weeks since my last real update, so I've forgotten most of what happened now, but I suppose I'll humor the burning need for information about my life that I'm sure you're all silently harboring deep inside. No, really. I bet you just don't want to admit it.
I have been feverishly trying to learn music theory. At the moment I'm putting off memorizing all the major scales, which I need to do before I can progress to the next chapter in this big (read: expensive) workbook I have procured for myself. I've been playing guitar for 9 years, and singing classically for 7, and I do not have the major scales memorized. It strikes me that these are the only two musical endeavors one can undertake while conceivably not learning ANY theory.
Not too long ago me and my crew all got together and had our long-anticipated Zombie Movie Marathon. My bartender friend Trevor invented and mixed tasty zombie-themed drinks while we all watched (in order) 28 Days Later, Dead Alive and Evil Dead 2. I liked the decorations, so they're still all up in my apartment. Gives it character.
Today I'm going to Music Midtown, where I'll be seeing The Pixies among a great variety of other bands. Is it worth 75 bucks? Not really, but it's this or stay at home for the entire weekend 'cause that's where my friends are. SO 75 smackers on the table. Hey, at least I'm getting paid now, so the sting of it is gone.
Speaking of getting paid, I've spent the past 3 straight days entering children's events at all the DeKalb Public Libraries into our computer. On Thursday, what I believe to be brains bagan leaking out of my ears, and now I can no longer turn left or distinguish the differences in taste between each flavor of neopolitan ice cream.
