alright, despite my doubts and cynicism xmas was really pretty good, i must say. let's recap.
i spent xmas eve running around doing everything last minute. i finally got out the door at 4 pm to head to my parents house, 'bout 60 miles away. en route i had to stop locally at a friends house for kitty-sitting activities. it was raining and shitty. i got out, grabbed the mail and ran with the key toward the door, leaving my car running. well, turns out she gave me the wrong damn key, i was locked out, kitties were hungry, and i had to get to my parents pronto. damn. total conundrum....i got all exicited momentarily that i might be able to break a window and get into the house to heroically save the cats. i even had duct tape and a garbage bag handy, just in case. unfortunately, no. she ended up fed-exing the *right* key overnight. no legit vandalism for me.
as i drove to my parents that evening, i apparently crossed the "rain-snow" line that was racing across the continent. i drove from rain into big fluffy-ass flakes, the very southern boundary of the "nor-easter" that hit this xmas, and all over the news she is.
white christmases rock.
so, weather channel observed, we pretty much knew we were snowed in for the next day or so...so much eatin, drinkin and merry-bein ensued.
it was sooper fun.
it all ended at about 6 in the morning as myself, my brother and our fine pal *ricky* hung out in front of the fire....we really threw santa for a loop...
xoxo to you!
