So, I was out yesterday looking at furniture. It was more of a planning ahead sort of thing. As once the Superbowl is over. I intend on replacing my living room. With my eye on a nice 65" widescreen and a couple of lazyboy style chairs. I figure why not. I've had my couches for seven years now. And, the 52" is nearly five years old itself. Time for a new look.
I've also learned that for some reason when two men are out looking at furniture, the sales people seem to think you're gay.. Which isn't a bad thing.. I mean at least they approach me.. Usually when I'm out by myself, they stay away. On the other hand it's kind of that annoying silliness when they keep giving you that look and asking questions like we're a couple or something. Depending on my mood. I'll either make it clear or if I'm feeling goofy I'll play along.. Nothing makes an older female sales clerk blush like when you ask them if the back of a couch can withstand the strain and weight of someone leaning over it.
On a pond/landscaping note.. Been lazy and putting off the landscaping, but eh.. Never planned on turning it into a one day event.. It's something for me to do when I'm feeling like it. I've pretty much figured what I'll be doing for the second pond. 16 x 6 and around 40" deep.. So, that's what.. 2000+ gallons.. That'll make for some happy koi!
The second pond won't be started until I'm done helping my parents with their pond upgrade. That will be some work. Cause, unlike mine. We'll be replacing the current pond they've got and building an above ground one in it's place. Bigger, deeper and easier for my mother to enjoy. Not to mention, their fish are way too big for the current manufactured pond they're in.
All I can say to all that is.. Bring on the cool weather! I'll be needing it.
