On one saturday I saw three iconic figures of their respective genres (relax, i'm not spouting fandom but to some extent it is true. So Take it with a grain of Salt)
I. I saw Morrissey at radio city music hall. He had all the pomp and arrogance that he is legendary for. But bless the bastard i dig his older tunes/lyrics and his new ones aren't so bad.
Of course girls were swooning at his coy stances and lounge-singer movements. He is getting on in years and i can already see it looking silly, kinda like the scarescrow (mick Jagger) prancing and preening on stage. No one else seemed to mind though. At one point he takes of his teal dress-shirt which is at this point darkened in most inches by sweat and throughs it into the audience. To lumbering ogres reach out and catch it. I suspect you'll find it on ebay soon.
II. Paul Bearer of Sheer Terror is probably just as famous for his mouth as morrissey. And you know what, when i stop and think about it they kind of sing about the same thing, except they do it from extreme sides of the spectrum of love loss. CB's was packed and to tell you the truth, i didn't actually see the band. i was by the bar having a beer with some old friends. But i was physically present.
III. Sonny Vincent! AS if Morrissey and Sheer Terror weren't enough for one night i shoot down over to the Continental to see this extremely old skoolk, under-rated rocker who was around before the RAMONES. All i can say is that fuck! it makes you believe in rocknroll, as corny as it sounds.
I hung outside CB's on sunday but decided the line was too long and besides i was already there the day before. I think i'm coming down with a cold from standing outside deciding whether to actually wait on line.

been so busy last few days i haven't actually seen any sets, i've just stopped in quickly to reply to comments and things. no... the lack of girls!!!~~
the legal drinking age over here is 18, as is buying. so being 20 does nothing for that... although you need to be 20 to buy alcohol in sweden, and i am going there later this year.
