So my girlfriend and I are walking last night, heading out to rent a video, when we see a guy start to lean against a parked car. He then crumples to the floor and is lying on the ground, sweating profusely, and making reaching motions with his hands. I ask him if he needs help getting up, and he says, "No." We ask if we should call an ambulance, and he says, "No. I'm fine." But he very obviously wasn't. He wasn't getting up, just lying there pathetically and making weird motions with his arms and legs (not particularly seizure-like; more like posturing). Someone calls for an ambulance, and then an off-duty firefighter shows up and takes over until the police and the ambulance show up. They ask us a few questions about what happened, and then they took him away to hospital.
