Fun things for today

from an unnamed friend of mine who works at a call centre. Poor sod.

Call #1:
Me: "Good Morning, customer service this is ____"
Customer "No it's not, it's Mrs Carter!"
Me: "Er, no. I'm saying my name is ____"
Customer : "Oh Right! Of course."

Call #2:
Me:"What address are you needing to connect to?"
Customer: "1 Cesar Avenue."
Me: "Okay, and what town or suburb is that in?"
Customer: "I don't know."
Me: "You don't know which town your house is in?"
Customer: "No. But I want to set up an account anyway."
Me: "I can't set up an account if you don't know which town your property is in."
Customer: "Oh!"
Me: "Maybe you could call your estate agent and check the full address of the property, including the town?"
Customer: "Alright!"

I love my job. Really I do.

Its moments like these its not too bad, been unemployed. But they are rare moments indeed.
