I've been living in deficit for months now, and my credit card is scary. It's not because I don't earn enough, it's because I waste money on gourmet food, takeaway, 500 pairs of shoes that all look alike. I've decided to do something about it. Tonight I drew up a rough *dun dun dun duunnnnn* budget. I know, it's so grown up I think my head will explode. And low and behold, yes, I'm living beyond my means.
So now I really need to cut back on excessive extravagant food that sits in the fridge and ends up in the bin 3 weeks later. And takeaway coffee twice a day. And parking fines. and, and and.
Anyone got money saving tips? Anything at all!

Don't take your credit card out with you!! Leave it at home. Then you can't whack that $400 pair of shoes on it and think about it later hehe. Try layby - if you want something, can you layby it and have enough in the budget to pay it off over the 6/8 week layby period? If not, then you can't have it and you'll just have to save!

my tip is save one weeks pay and not do anything, then come next pay only spend a maximum of that pay only and never go below that unless an emergency. Rinse and repeat every couple of weeks. This is like the crash course to saving that I do.
