Had a gloriously slow morning, rasberries from my garden mixed in with my granola paired with bad coffee and while I was luxuriating in the simplicity of the whole experience I heard it, I mean really heard it...the ceaseless buzz of the city. Got under my skin, made me buzz, itch, squirm. It all just felt complicated and this coming from a girl who generally likes the city. Birdsong drowned by ambulance drone.
I wonder if I lived on an isolated island or mountain side if the sounds of nature would infect in a similar manner?
The soothing glow of my computer is making all better as she serenades me with with sequences of cash, drake and
johnny k. Dammmit it's a good thing I'm going back out to the mountains tomorrow.

There's some serious tension going on everywhere right now. Everyone I know has felt it. Everywhere I go I see it. Luckily, I think we're at the tail end of it. Happiness is coming back in style.
