I was lying on my bed the other day staring at the ceiling when it dawned on me that the interval of numbers bewteen the sum of squared numbers must have some sort of pattern when you look at them closely.....well to my surprise the numerical value between squared sums is actually an increasing odd number chain. precise.

for example. lets start at 0 and then work up by squaring 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5....

0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81....

the difference between the numbers goes

1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17.....

i am sure of two things, 1) i am not the first person to realize this. 2) i am a total nerd, who needs a life....
