Well, hell. It's May. Already.
I've been in Texas for seven months and change. It doesn't feel remotely like seven months. Barely feels like I've unpacked. And yet, the calendar, she does not lie.
Suppose I can't complain... the time could have dragged like molasses in an Alaskan January. Even so, and more and more, I feel like time is ever-so-fleeting. Less and less of it to enjoy the world, and I'm flying solo. Can only imagine how it is for the married with children crowd. Is that grass greener? I'm not certain. There's a definite green glow from that side of the fence, but that could be for many reasons.
Kryptonite is green, and it glows.
Finally finished 'Preacher'. All 9 volumes. Can't say it had the greatest ending, but it was a good one. Like another comic series I enjoyed - 'Watchmen' - there were many questions left unanswered. Still a mighty fine read. The irony of finishing the book in Texas (where the tale starts and ends) was a small delight.
Gonna be leaving for L.A. in a couple of weeks. The E3 exposition is going down, and like all good little video game designers, I must make the pilgrimage to electric Mecca and pay my respects to the latest offerings to the faithful. This time, rather than fly, a group of us are piling into a co-worker's Hummer and making the road-trip. Heh.
I'm hoping for hollywood road-trip movie hijinks, but with my luck it'll turn into a David Lynch picture. I see any creepy midgets during my shift as Hummer Pilot, they're gonna be flatsville. Without question.

I shall be at E3 with motherlovin' *bells* on. I'm not sure how much drinky-drinkin' I'll have time for, though we should definitely meet for a couple a highballs at the least.
There any supersekret N-word parties you can get me into?
