What to say, what to say... It's not as if I'm ever at a loss for words! Finding time to collect my thoughts properly has been kinda tricky so I'm gonna have to give a slightly blitzed update.
* Went to the ballet twice last week
Saw Carlos Acosta (brilliant) and Sylvie Guillem (oh dear god so amazing breathtaking, the dance Two was just so utterly mesmerizing it bought tears to my eyes).
* Worked on some amnesty stuff; letter writing, contacting people about events etc
* Visited a new detainee who has been locked up for over a year awaiting his decision as to whether he is allowed to stay in this country. Makes me cross.
* Went to see the Peter Doig exhibition at the Tate Britain. Kept reminding me of something, but I could never quite put my finger on what. Annoying.
* Got cooked for
My mate makes a good Mexican!
* Been trying to decide whether to go slutty or geeky fancy dress for my mates bday. Decision, decisions! Ideas are Arabian dancer/puss-in-boots or Princess Mononoke.
* Love, love, love doing ballet again. Ok so I'm pretty awful! But it makes me soooooooooo happy!
* Been getting some reading done again. Just finished The Unbearable Lightness of Being and before that The Collector. Tempted by Son of a Witch next because I loved Wicked! I can be a little indecisive at times though
* Snow doesn't seem to taste as nice as it did when I was a kid. Or maybe it was the snow we just had tasted different, not sure
* Life with family is tense as ever, especially as there is concern over my dad's health now too. But I'm not supposed to know, not until there is anything definitive to tell anyway. All I can do is hope and bury my head in the sand to some extent.
* And just in case some of you were thinking I've turned over a totally new leaf... I'm still over thinking, over analyzing and generally being a bit hopeless. I just have to try and fit that around all the other stuff! lol
