So I'm gonna be one big fat clich with this update.
2007 ended with me being really rather disheartened. I felt let down by people I trusted and the teetering edge of optimism fell away rapidly. Most of my blogs got rather repetitively miserable which I hated, but in my defense if you were to meet me in person you wouldn't have been able to tell there was that much bothering me! After an amazing time traveling I was struggling to hold onto my verve for life in an environment that was emotionally draining.
Still, with Christmas over I can breathe a sigh of relief - I know how scrooge of me, but meh! My mum has gone away to visit her sister in LA for a week so a relative calm has descended at home, in between my brother drinking too much, but you can't have it all I guess. I've had work at Waterstone's extended until the end of January, so yay more money I'm currently sending off applications for charity placements so cross fingers I'll have something sorted for when I finish at Waterstone's. Even if it's only at my local Oxfam shop!
Getting very excited about taking ballet up again I also want to start seeing more dancing. The Sadler's Wells Sampled show at 10 is too good an opportunity to miss, so I really hope I don't! I'm also hoping to go see Yasmin Levy, an Israeli Ladino/Flamenco singer. I shall have to work my magic to get both dates off!
So here's to a fresh start, a new year is as good a time as any for one!

I would have no problem going to the ballet at all, but it's not something I would probably do on my own.
