Time flies.
Had a brilliant day out in London with some of my uni mates, I hadn't realised how much I missed them! And now I'm ill and feeling all sorry for myself I wish I was back with them all. Cross fingers after christmas... Went to see the Lee Miller exhibition at the V&A which I thoroughly enjoyed and made me want to pick my camera up again. Oh for more time! Had a wander and did some shopping. I now have a gorgeous green dress and no posh occasion to wear it to!
Halloween last night was a blast, I actually stayed sober and danced the night away. Although I did get increasingly annoyed with the snakes in my hair as the evening wore on (not hard to work out what I was!).
Work has been keeping me busy, staff and customers keep putting me onto new books to read, I don't know when I'm going to get through them all! It hasn't stopped me buying them though and I'm rapidly running out of space. After chatting to one of the guys I've been encouraged to try and write a story. When I was a lot younger, and I mean a lot, I used to write stories all the time but as with so many things I stopped. It will be a very long term project as I'm very out of practise at writing but at the moment the biggest issue I'm not entirely sure what i want to write. Obviously this is making things slightly tricky! I know the type of thing I want to write, sort of, but I've yet to really think through and develop any of the ideas I've had. Still, it gives me something to daydream about when I'm de-stickering all those books!
Talking about daydreaming, I wrote this at work after reflecting on a dream I had about someone. I'm not the greatest writer, which doesn't bode well for my story I know(!), but it got something out my system.
I must take action
and leave you behind.
I'll be looking over
my shoulder though.
Hoping one day
you'll find me again.
