I'm saving my philosophical looking ahead to the new year to when my brain is functioning better (note better rather than well!)

Work got a bit crazy over Christmas, but seeing as I'm in retail it would be a bit worrying if it wasn't! Survived it ok, no nervous breakdowns over people messing up my sections. I mean, I spend 20 mins tidying and restocking then someone comes along and BUYS books?! What do they think it is? A bookshop?! Still my recommendations sold quite well [SPOILER] Nightmare Before Christmas hardback of the poem, and The Past From Above - aerial photo's of archaeological sites around the world, just in case anyone was wondering! /SPOILER].
Christmas and Boxing Day were quiet which makes a change in our house! But the time either side of that was spent working and in the pub, not that I'm complaining really!
I've spent the last week really trying to sort trip stuff out, visas, kit etc I'm getting so excited! 9 weeks! Been getting emails from my cousins flat mate who I met when I went to LA in 2003. He's meeting me in New York as he doesn't live too far away. He wants to take me on a trip out of the city, who am I to say no?!
