and a cute little top, then I treated myself to some new make-up. I had an eventful time in Waterstone's where I managed to lose my footing on the stairs and ended up sliding down quite a few (ouch!) took my mum out in the process and covered both of us in the mango frescato I'd just bought! Not a good end to their visit but hopefully birthday cake made up for it?!
I met up with some mates from course who had finished their exams and had a few drinks... and as predicted had a few more and before you knew it I was dancing down the street singing New York New York... y'know, as you do! I had a great night unfortunately I didn't get much revision done on the Sunday. I had my exam on Monday and although the paper wasn't evil I felt like I was repeating myself quite a lot. Got back to the flat and we started cooking our bean burgers which were yummy... although the recipe totally lied... serves four?! Yea right! There was only 3 of us eating and we still wanted more! Luckily it was followed by an American Fudge Cake which was just so yummy! The butter icing filling was mmmmmmm!
Did a bit of shopping with my flatmates on Tuesday picked up some great bargins from Primark! Wandered round the market getting ingredients for our next meal. **I'd like to point out that our life doesn't really rerolve around eating... honest!** We had a spinach and pepper pizza, italian roast peppers and then this yummy lemon surprise pudding (I like my puddings!). It's like cake on top but then has this gooey layer underneath that had bits of meringue in, and it's so tangy and refreshing. A good choice considering how hot it is at the moment!.
Wednesday was chaos! We had so much to fit in before people arrrived in the afternoon. We'd forgotten some of the ingredients we needed so I had to go to the supermarket (and got huge blisters in the process!). We spent most of the morning cooking and then packed everything up and took it to the park for a picnic. I have to say, we outdid ourselves. It was so nice, the food the weather, everthing... I'd make a good lady of leisure I think!
We sat around recovering when we got back then eventually tidied everthing up, moved the furniture around and got ready. I made up some Pimms and a couple of other random cocktails and the drinking started. By the time we left I was already quite drunk but the cocktails kept comming! Things started to get a bit hazy in the club but Kat and Debs got me home ok!
Morning after, well actually make that afternoon, I had the worst hangover. I haven't felt like that in soooo long. I'd forgotten to buy pizzas too so I had nothing to eat that didn't involve cooking from scratch which I really couldn't face doing! Luckily Emily got back from town and she started cooking some tomato rice (we had a lot of tomatoes left!) and I managed to at least keep an eye on the lemon chicken. I felt so much better after food! We then made a mini lemon surprise pudding and some flapjack in the evening, coz we were bored. I'm sure that's not normal!
I went to lunch with my friend Rob who'd had an interview in Leicester and ended up back in La Tasca. I chilled in the park in the afternoon with friends chatting about what we're going to do next. It's really quite scary. that's pretty much everything. Wow I've rambled on A LOT! And 90% has been about food! Perhaps I should have learnt to be a chef?! Or even a food critic... hmmm... Hope you're all making the most of the British 'summer'
If I get one place to crash, more works or something like that I can stay more but till now I can afford only few days, don't know what's going to happen
