We also decided to make some chocolate chip cookies! Now the thing is, my dad makes literally thee BEST chocolate chip cookies! They’re so delicious and stay so soft even days after!! My mom and I always rave about how great they are and she’s told me before about how when they were dating he was always baking & would literally sit in the kitchen by the oven watching & waiting for them to be finished. 😂
I’ve never been able to master cookies in that way. Cupcakes I have always make so bomb! But my cookies always end up too hard ): But he gave me a few tips and his main one was “you have to watch them!” I’m like what the heck watch for what like how do I know though!? Sure enough that IS the trick. I stayed by the oven to keep watch and dang dude these are the best damn cookies I’ve ever made in my life! They were perfectly golden brown, soft and melt in your mouth delicious 😍
After baking all night last night, I was so excited for him to taste them today and see how great they turned out hehe. Told me this morning he had a late night snack and that they turned out perfectly! so proud of my cookies 🥺💚
Ended up with a fat ol’ batch of cookies for the family today! Looking forward to everyone enjoying them and so glad to have baked for my daddy hehe :)
