Last night I saw my first bald eagle! In the city! I was really excited and just stumbled out the words. Of course, Matthew has seen a ton of them in his lifetime so it wasn't so exciting for him.
I was looking up and I thought, gosh look at that HUGE bird with the white head and then it twigged! It was quite high up because it was flying from building to building on one of the main streets here, but it was unmistakable. Hopefully we'll go and see them in Squamish when they are there eating up all the spawning salmon.
Also, Cherry Blossom season is coming to Vancouver soon. I'm really excited. Apparently, Vancouver is on a par with Tokyo with the number of cherry blossom trees that flower in the spring. There's an official festival that begins at the end of the month.
Incase you missed these photos yesterday of Moira, here they are again. We took them last "summer" in Edinburgh.

I am aiming to start posting my 30 days of Winter project VERY soon. I realise winter is kind of over in a lot of the world now, but up here it's still kind of iffy and most of Canada is still under snow! But, I will hopefully begin posting it next week.
