I was that customer in Starbucks just now. I sent back three drinks. Yes, three.
Is it really my fault that the "barrista" doesn't even know what I mean by "burnt coffee"? Luckily the manager is a super ace guy and took out the timer and made the perfect coffee. Problem is he didn't teach the damn girl how to do it. So she'll continue to burn the coffee like she does every time.
I felt so mean complaining over and over and over. All she could say was "I don't know how to do it differently, all I do is press a button". That poor creature.
They really need to teach the staff about espresso and about the machines. I mean, really teach them how it all works and how it can quite easily go wrong and how to fix it.
Mind you, it's not just Starbucks with this problem. So many espresso places pop up and think all they need is an espresso machine and it'll be fine. But it doesn't work like that!
Thank god I have my own machine at home. Maybe that's why I'm less and less tolerable to a bad cup of coffee.
But, really, this was undrinkable.
