Update. Update. Update...
The button keeps staring at me. I guess that means it's time. Have some bullet points for ease of reading:
∞ I've found the most perfect home to live in! I move in on 12th February. I can't wait. It's a beautiful little flat owned by possibly the best person anyone could want as a landlord. She's having solar panels installed on the roof this week and Norwegian electric heaters installed sometime before we move in. It's colourful and small, but everything is just old and beautiful. I don't want to say too much more right now for fear of jinxing it all. Just this: she chose 12th February as a moving in date because it's a full moon in Leo. That says it all really <3 I can't wait to have a proper home to live in instead of these horrible sterile rental flats. I also can't wait to not have to deal with letting agents who screw you over.
∴ After finding the perfect home yesterday evening I drank a few glasses of Asti Martini while eating Bangers and Mash(tm) for dinner. How classy am I? Really though, I love that bubbly stuff. Much moreso than Champagne. I got rather drunk while watching a couple episodes of Stargate Season 7, then the night ended... well, in the bedroom; although not sleeping. Enough said.
∞ The same lady who will be my Landlord soon, also pointed out a local artists society who own a big old military building that contains within more than 15 artists studios. Very few ever come up with a new lease, but she told me to get in contact as they'll have a list of artists who are looking for studio space and I could possibly get together with them to sort something out. They might even know of studio space that I can rent out for assignments for a lot less than the majority of studios I've found in Scotland so far. I can't wait to get talking to them because they arrange all sorts of exhibitions and shows.
∴ I bought a bike a week or so ago from the local bicycle co-op in their January sale. It's beautiful. This is my attempt for getting fit. Since I stopped dancing for clubs on a regular basis over a year ago my fitness and general shape has just gone to shit (see my Voyeurism set for evidence of that). I went for a little ride today around my local park and found out just how unfit I am. Plus my ventolin inhaler seems to have run out, which of course doesn't help. Well, I can't wait until my new fitness is actually acheived. I might even buy a fitness DVD when I move into my new flat. On the other hand maybe I should just take up dancing in my own front room. Who needs to dance for a club, eh?
∞ I have a trip to London this weekend. Hopefully a trip to Bristol the weekend after. That's a lot of shoots for SG, just so you know. Beautiful warm ladies we have here in the UK, you'll see.
∴ 11th February is very important and special to me. I can't wait.
∞ My back is completely wrecked. I can barely move my neck recently and my left shoulder is continuously swollen. My diet consists of at least 800mg of ibuprofen every day. I'm waiting on a referal to the physiotherapist, but it doesn't seem to be coming. I think I put it down to my long hours sat at photoshop with a mouse. We'll see.
∴ I'm quietly optimistic so far this year. Only quietly, though. Just so you know, if I get too excited our shout too loudly things usually come crashing down around me. I may as well have been living on a volcano most of my life. Not that I want to complain; I try not to do too much of that recently. It's working out great for me and I feel much better for it. Still, I am a long way to having everything sorted out for me. However, I am well on my way there. You'll see. I'm a tough little muffin.
∞ I love the yellow school buses in N. America. I wish we had them here:
∴ The many colours of Granville:
(Granville Market - I adore that little island)
∞ Home of my heart:
I really do miss that city. I can't wait until I can go back.
∴ And finally: I've done a lot of discovering of myself over the past couple of years. I think I've finally found who I am. Remember a while ago when I said I was waiting for the day that I would wake up and realise photography is a false dream and I would find out I am not as good as I wanted to believe? I've come to realise I can be wrong about myself more than most and this one is for keeps. I've gotten more joy out of photography than any other creative ambition I've turned my hand to. I think I might actually be alright at it, too.
A secret about Cherry: I've only ever wanted to go to University to study the art so I could one day teach others. It's my dream to one day have a job passing on the skill, and mind, and eye it takes to be a photographer. It would be the one thing I could give back to the world.
On that note...

P.S Thank you for all the wonderful comments on both Tsui's and Odette's sets.
P.P.S (excuse me for the blatant pimping a moment) If you've been photographed, photoshopped or otherwise touched [ooh-errr] by me please be so kind as to review my directory listing. Thank you to all those who have left reviews already!
Edit: Sorry I didn't get around to replying to all the comments on my last journal. I am so busy it's unreal. I'm happy you all like my new profile photo. Unfortunately it's not from a new set, though.
