I think it depends on the band. There are some artists you grow with and love the new material just as much as the old. And then some bands that used to rock out hard get a little mellower and poppier sounding as they age or "sell out" and you wish they were the way they used to be.

i went back to the house today to investigate. It's from the fridge being pushed up against the wall... it's nice and crunchy under the wall paper. Talked to a friend who thinks it'll be better not to pay someone to look at it but simply fix it when i redecorate. I have a feeling it'll come off with the wall paper and i'll have a lovely hole :-) yay!
