Relating to yesterdays post- I said 1 of my resolutions was to buy a car. I've looked around and i've decided which models I like best, based on reliabilty and aesthetics. Here are the top three priced with the options I want;
Toyota Yaris- -------$15,095
Honda FIT----------- $15,394
VW Rabbit----------- $ 16,070
All of these are affordable and cute and should last a long time. The VW wouldn't last as long as the other two probably, but I'm easy on a car. For those outside the US, the FIT is the US version of the Jazz. I don't know about the others.
What do you think? Any recommendations? Any experience with these models? Warnings?

I love the VW and would have gotten one if I could have, but as lovable as they are, they are hell to repair. Expensive (German parts only!) and take a long time.
It's a toss-up between the Yaris and the Fit, really. The biggest deciding factor for me was that the guy at the Honda dealership was a douche and said that no one could test drive a Fit because they couldn't keep any on the lot fast enough, so I should just trust him that they handle well and pre-order. Bullshit. I got the 4-door Yaris and I love it to death. I can drive for 500 miles on less than a tank of gas, and the service and warranty are unbelievable. I can't say enough good things about it.
