Business first, the the obnoxious tagging thing. ^_^
I am in a film production club at my campus, and I have decided to do a documentary. I have a few ideas, but I would like suggestions and opinions, also. My ideas are:
1) right now in Fenton (a suburb of St Louis) a woman went into a Target to have a perscription of the morning after pill filled. The pharmicist refused to fill it, saying it was their right not to fill it, and told her to go to a walgreen's nearby. I emailed Target about it (just a form letter via Planned Parenthood) and in their reply they said this "Target has a policy that ensures a guests prescription for emergency contraception is filled, whether at Target or at a different pharmacy, in a timely and respectful manner." The pharmicist was NOT respectful, is the main problem. From this I would go on to talk about various ideas about emergency contraception, vs abortion, adoption, Planned Parenthood, etc
2) homeless people: how did they get where they are, what sort of assistance do they get (and what sort do they want) from federal and local government/programs, if offered a way off the streets, would they take it, no matter what the cost, etc. do they prefer the "freedom" of living on the streets, or would they rather have a "proper home"
3) follow a local band. shows, practices, drunken parties, etc. as simple as that
4) premarital counseling, is it necessary, should it be done by a religeous official or a liscensed counselor, etc
Okay, now for the tagging (I hate this shit, btw). fr3ak tagged me, so that is who I will excat my revenge upon next time someone does this.
heres how it goes I'll tell you 20 random facts about myself and then I'll tag 5 of you and you do the same.
1) I hate thinking of things to say about myself
2) My best friend Kat is the only girl I can tolerate for extensive periods of time
3) I'm bi, but could never picture myself in an actual relationship with a woman
4) My cat is the love of my life
5) My fish is my best friend in Saint Louis
6) I like being outside doing ANYTHING except getting super dirty, but I will get dirty for a good cause.
7) I am allergic to cold. meaning, if I get cold, I break out in hives
8) I moved to Saint Louis to get out of Oklahoma
9) My current boyfriend is the only person I have ever considered marrying for love
10) I hate when I am not properly introduced to someone, though Iwill probably forget their name 3 minutes after I meet them.

12) Cheesy Horror Movies are my all time favorite type of movie
13) I am not unsatisfied with my size (I look normal) but telling my weight makes me uncomfortable. People think 145lbs should be bigger than I am.

You most deffinately got interesting ideas/topics that have an impact in todays society.
My question to you...what interest you the most or you personally have experienced that has left a lasting impression on you? Can you make a difference in writing about any of these topics of interest?
In my opinion having to look at your choices...#3 would be your best bet. I think that it would be most fun of all your choices...but again, it is only in my opinion. Yes? I think that #1...you can get a lot of controversy over these topics. #2 it is very deepressing how these people live. Yes, it is thought provoking to know how they gotten that low (riches to rags...sort of speak) but I know for a fact that most of these people don't even care if there is food/shelter for them or even care to seek help. But this is not to say that they aren't other people who do care and try to get out of that inviorment onto a better place for themselves. #4 this would be cool if you have totally experienced being married. I think that this would have more meaning to you in doing this research/documantery.
Well I wish you the best of luck...but most importantly...have fun with it and I bet you will have an awesome documantery!
