Look at this shit. I just got it in my inbox:
Titled: Student Alert
Ball State University police are asking the campus community to be alert when walking at night following a recent attempted abduction. According to Ball State police, officers responded to a call from a female student reporting an attempted abduction that occurred late on the evening of April 12. The victim said she was standing alone at the Scheumann Stadium bus stop when a white van slowly approached. The driver rolled down the window and directed her to get in the van. The man then got out of the van, walked towards her and again told her to get into the vehicle. The man then departed the scene in his van when several male students approached the bus stop. The victim described the suspect as a white male in his early to mid-40's, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds and wearing a red flannel shirt and dirty jeans with holes at the knees. He had brown hair with gray highlights. The victim further described the van as being clean, white in color, with windows only in the front and a little rust along the bottom of the driver's side. Anyone with information about the suspect and/or the van, including the license plate number, should contact Ball State police at 285-1111 or 911. Ball State police also would like to meet with the male students who approached the bus stop and inquired of the victim's welfare. They should contact Detective Reba Grass at 285-3741. Gene Burton, Ball State's police chief, said his department will increase its presence around the football stadium parking lots. He again asks the campus community to exercise caution and awareness, particularly at night and when traveling alone.
Isn't that scary?
