So l haven't been very active on SG lately, and I've barely had my account for very long - in fact the only reason I have my account is because someone reactivated my old account for three months, and I don't even know who!
Wish I could stay longer, but since I live in Canada, and I don't use credit cards, I can't really get a longer subscription.
Anyways, decided I would post a new blog just for the hell of it. I've found that I've got it pretty good right now. I'm only 18 years old, and I've basically got my own business going. I have clients constantly e-mailing me to contract me for graphic/web design projects, and I'm getting paid mroe than I would ever expect. Good news for me! I don't even have a website up yet, so I know the only reasons my clients e-mail me is because they've heard about me from other clients who have been happy with my work.
I'm also trying to find a decent camera. Photography has always been oen of my passions, but I couldn't ever find any way that I could put it to good use. My clients often have to look for photographers so they can work themselves into the website, so I've found a use already!
I'm aiming for a Canon 40D, used or not. The new 50D would be even better, but I don't like to spend a lot of money on something thats not entirely necessary, especially if it won't pay for itself in the end. I'd also have to set up a small home studio. I still live with my parents though, but will hopefully move out this summer when I get rid of all the shit I don't need in my bedroom. Then I should be set!
Also, I dont know how many people will even be reading this, nevermind this far in, but so far I've only been doing more corporate websites and graphics, which I'm unhappy with. If you or someone you know could use an alternative web/graphic designer, it would be awesome if you could help me out! I'm going to try to get a portfolio on the internet as soon as I can, but I'm fairly busy right now.
