Well, since I'm a freakin' chef, I figured I'd share one of my recipes with youze. If'n you like it, try it, lemme know. If you want more, let me know too.
So here we go:
Scallops in Pastry
1 lb scallops (any size will do, but if you're trying to impress, use U-10's- trust me)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup butter, approx.
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 lb mushroom, chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp curry powder
1 cup flour
1 egg
1 tsp lemon juice
In food processor, combine flour and 1/4 tsp salt. Add 1/3 cup butter and process. Combine egg with lemon juice; add to processor until dough forms. Chill. Add 1-2 Tbsp ice water if necessary. Cut up scallops and divide among buttered ramekins. Saut garlic, mushrooms and green pepper in olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter. Sprinkle with curry powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Spread over scallops. Roll out dough; top ramekins; vent. Bake at 450 f for 15 minutes.
