Dear god it has been a long couple days. I cooked the boss' wedding this weekend. As it ended up I worked about thirty hours in two days and then partied til the bars closed. My mom watched the girls and the wife came to the wedding while I worked it. It went great and everyone raved about the the food. There was a ton left over because it was too hot to really throw down. I actually broke out the smoker trailer and smoked a couple hundred pounds of meat, pork shoulders and beef briskets. Her mom likes my potato salad so I made about four gallons of that and another four gallons of pasta salad. Everyone that worked it got paid cash. I didn't see what they got paid and I don't know if I get in on that or not since I'm salary but that was cool they got cash.
Once the food was over and I put my regular people clothes on we got into full party mode. The wife sat at a table with other people from work but they didn't talk much so she was five glasses of sangria ahead if me when I saw her. I had a bunch of free spaten at the reception and we burned a couple in the parking lot. The after party was at a bar. A guy I kind of know from playing around was playing music and people kept buying me whiskey. The wife kept pace with all my twenty something coworkers like a champ. She talked shit along with everyone and had a great time. The owner even came to the bar. It was rowdy as hell because she had paid for limo busses and cabs to run people around all night because she didn't want anyone to get a DUI at her wedding. I hope no one did because she will be so pissed. That cost about a grand for all the busses and cabs. We don't really party together because we all work so much. They had to close the restaurant for two days just to pull it off. All week people were so excited to finally get to party with each other. Luckily I managed to avoid dancing with any if the five people that swore they were going to dance with me. The whiskey was harder to avoid. Every time I turned around there was a crown and coke or a shot of makers. Evidently I didn't take any pictures which is odd.
This morning we picked up the girls and had breakfast. We are now successfully avoiding the parade. I am still pretty jello brained and I don't think the wife is going to leave the bed anytime soon. I hope you have all had a great weekend. Peace out SG.
