Hell yes the wife made a shit ton of bagels. Some of them even stayed home. One of them is making me a happy fatboy right now.

I am off tomorrow. The wife is already in bed. I am just watching fights and trolling SG. SG break in the afternoon has been nice. Just a five minute step away helps break the day up a bit. Commenting on things feels odd because it is too much like texting and my brain wants an immediate response like its a conversation and not just a shout in the wind. I finally figured out that the best time for me to take a break is the same time my counter parts start to get busy, I can check in with the wife and here and no one fucks with me because I have already been there for six hours and they are just starting. I am glad we hired the new guy I worked with tonight. He is my age and he really seems to know his shit.

Tonight they gave me the new guy for the banquet because there was a carving station and he is a pretty white boy. Pretty white boy is a running joke at work. The last guy that helped me out quit. It was no great loss because he sucked. He had a great attitude and he was a young guy out of the Army so he always wore his little army hat. He was forever fucking up so all I let him do was make salads and change pans on the buffets. The people loved this dude and got out of his way and chatted him up and asked him questions. Questions were a little iffy because he had no idea what he was serving, I had to tell him the name of everything before he went out. The owner always told him the only reason he didn't fire him was because

" He (me) looks like fat jesus and the only other guy on banquets is a thuggish looking black guy. I have to have a pretty white boy so they don't scare the old ladies".

Now that he is gone when I need some one to do the buffet tending job or carve we refer to that person as the pretty white boy. This new guy happens to be a handsome white guy so it isn't nearly as much fun as when AC the "thuggish looking black guy" (who is really not thuggish looking at all) gets to do it. He give's the owner a rash of shit about how he's pretty enough when he needs him but as soon as he hire's a new white boy he'll have to hide in the back with me while the pretty white boy gets all our glory. It fucking cracks me up. AC and the owner talk shit like that all day.




I have to go to the DMV tomorrow. My license expired on my birthday and I forgot. blah. After that I think I am going to the Asian grocery and make the girls a bombsy dinner. I have been wanting to make egg rolls for a couple weeks and I want to do a couple different kinds of noodles and find some cool looking vegetables. The Ziz was a little bummed I didn't cook sunday night so I need to Daddy up and make her one to light her eyes up.
