Today I went to the store for maybe twenty minutes and when I got back they had walked the sales guy. Didn't let him finish his two weeks, just cut him a check and said pack yer shit. It is a dick move but kind of standard practice in the industry as far as I have seen. Except to me. I have never gotten a fat check and sent home early. Last job my last day was a 500 ppl St. Patrick's Day party and my last day at the hotel was Easter Brunch, no way they would let me out of those. In Rapid City my last day was super crazy and I ended up falling half way down a steep ass set of narrow metal stairs that I knew I was going to fall down some day and hadn't yet. Every salaried person that gave notice at the Dubtree got walked except me, I had to remember to give them my keys when I left and the Food and Beverage director just cried at me. They walked my friend and he left with a check for six grand because they paid out all his sick/vacation days and paid him estimated gratuity for two weeks. I was really hoping for that. ha ha. Any way the owner finally sat with me before I left a told me what I had already figured out. It was nice of them to finally make it official I suppose. Tomorrow will be just as crazy as today and that was pretty nuts. Maybe in all this turmoil they will throw a little cash my way to ensure my future happiness. One can only hope.
Both the spawn are loving school so far. Being total bitches to each other but loving school. Can't have it all I suppose.
I am off to shower because I am foul and sore and if I am clean I won't have to look at boobs on the computer because the ones in my living room will come closer. Peace out SG.
I literally have a hundred versions of this song but I have never heard this one.
