Long ass week. Worked on my first day off for 8 hours so now I'm not answering my phone on this day off. Saturday was hell, Sunday I was working but a total zombie. Yesterday went really well but blah I am wiped out. Today I need to veg. I'm going to lunch with my mom and folding laundry and probably taking a nap.

The wife's graduation party is coming up fast. I have been planning the menu in my head for months and the wife has a few things she wants for sure and it is turning out well. She wants Indian Butter Chicken and Tamarind Marinated Smoked Lamb and Hummus. I'll buy some naan and make some rice for the old folks I am making a pork loin with rosemary bacon gravy and roasted potatoes, maybe pasta salad. It will be a mix of friends and family so should be a weird dynamic there hopefully it will be nice enough to chill outside. A chunk of my band will play outside. The wife really wants us to play and she put it in her announcement which is cool but has outed me to my crazy friend I usually play music with. He is invited and saw live music on the invite and that would usually mean us but it doesn't because when the plans were made he was off his nut. That and the wife doesn't like his singing anyway. So that is an interesting conversation I will have this afternoon I'm sure. I am so excited to throw this party. I love doing stuff for her and I don't often get the chance to throw down in her honor because she is not really one for stuff like that. Plus I get to take off one of the busiest days of the year, a fact that will probably bite me in the ass on Sunday but fuck it.



Just heard this today and I got a kick out of it. This is funnier if you know who Steve Earle is but I think everyone can appreciate it. "He read an article that said I like to do cocaine. Now he shows up at all my shows saying if I need some he'll pay"




There is a line from one of her songs that says "my daddy was a preacher and a junkie too. I was raised by God and Whiskey so I'm a little confused " That is speaking to me today. Have fun SG
