Jah be praised the in-laws are gone. I was a fine visit and we got a lot of things fixed around the house. I also got to see a ten foot long sewing machine and how often do you get to see that. The girls are home today so we went to lunch as did everyone else with kids home today. What a cluster fuck that was. We got our tax money, woo hoo. I am so ready to buy a new bed. The wife has many plans so I need to hurry up and get the things I need now before it all disappears.
Last night I played with the full band for the first time. It went pretty well. It is very rowdy and I don't have a plug in guitar anymore so I had to borrow one. My guitar is pretty much just ornamental at this point because there is so much going on otherwise that you aren't listening to that. I am a bit horse today because I was just getting over a cold and then went and sang for 2 1/2 hours. It was cool to play with a drummer because I haven't done that much in the past. The guy that plays drums I have known but not really for years. We have a lot of mutual friends and he has sat in with other bands I have been in but we never really talked much. He is a good guy and recently married a friend of my youngest brother. The other guys all meshed well and when it was on it was fucking hot man. Slicker than own shit. When it was not on it was like swinging a bunch of cats in a bag. Such is practice. I want to get a recording of us doing Ghost Riders in the Sky because it is already pretty good. I had a great time I just need to remember to stop smiling and laughing in time to sing. It is so fun to watch these guys play of each other and trade licks I just want to keep nodding them more breaks so they keep playing. Now all I need is to get a job in town so I can get off in time to play out.
