YAY!! The last couple months have been pretty tight on money, BUT NO MORE! I just filed my taxes, and hell yeah, new car here I come! On top of that, I think my friend is going to help me get a new job, which will pay more than double what I'm making right now, which is kinda sad, because I've been at my job for five years... but I'm over it! This means I can finally move out of my parents house with the little one.
Let me rant...
I respect the hell out of people who went to college, and I do believe that they deserve good jobs, they worked hard for them. I do not believe that college grads should make 5x or more what I make, after working since I was fifteen. My parents did not require me to have a job in high school, but I chose to out of a desire to make my own money, that was eight years ago. I have been working for eight years, and yet it has taken me two years of SEARCHING to get a job, because I do not have a degree. I'm just so frustrated after seeing so many of my friends who drank their ways through college, get jobs that I would give my right arm for, and which I am probably more qualified for, given my customer service experience. There is probably more to this rant, but the mini's dad is bringing her home soon, and my a.d.d. is working over time tonight.
I'm sorry if this upset anyone, I don't mean it offensively, I only wish I could make it through college!

but it wasn't for me. i think it's really messed up that a piece of paper
gives someone precedence over someone else. it wasn't until recently
that having a college degree really mattered. not too long ago one could
work their way up in a company learning as they went. but now that door
doesn't budge without some sort of schooling. and with the outsourcing of
less skilled positions overseas, it doesn't leave us common folk many options.
i'm still trying to figure out a career path. i have a job but it's being phased out.
