OH NO! The little one woke up sick today I hate it when she is so sad...
This next month is going to be ridiculous! January 28-30th is Ohayocon! I am super excited about it, but a little disappointed that I won't be dressing up... maybe I'll throw something together right quick, any suggestions? I was going to go as Rei Ayanami, but by the time I scraped enough money together for the costume, there wasn't enough time to ship, bummer... but I'm still psyched to be going at all.
The Weekend after con is my friends wedding that I'm doing the cake for, which is pretty much gonna be sweet (ha! get it? sweet? cake? yeah you laughed). The cake is going to be a three tier raspberry chocolate cake with fudge frosting. The outside is going to have a wood grain finish with their flowers cascading down the side in fondant... wish me luck!!
Two weeks after the wedding I think I am going to schedule the shoot for my set! It's going to be awesome, and you will fall in love! I'm a little nervous, I have a concept all mapped out, but now I need a location... Hopefully my photographer will help out with that. The girl taking my pictures is someone I've known forever, and she is a very talented modeling photographer, she just graduated from the Art Institute, and I can't wait to work with her!
Pittsburgh was on the list for next month as well, but I just don't see that happening with the financial situation and extreme lack of time. My daughter goes with her dad every other weekend (and twice a week for a few hours), so those weekends are pretty much my mommy time. I enjoy having mommy time, and I'm beyond happy that she will know her father, because he is a great guy... but I'm selfish and I wish I could just have her all the time :/ ok, I've begun to rant.
I leave you with some of my confections:
first fondant rose and leaf I ever made
play cake
strawberry pie!
I believe this was my devils food cake with white chocolate mouse filling and buttercream frosting, yesss
