a silly little story...
so there is this Ben & Jerry's on the corner of Haight and Ashbury, and once a year they have a free ice cream day. And all these people come and line up all day and everybody eats free ice cream all over the haight. And I didn't know what the hell it was, I guess I just thought maybe the world had gone mad and there were like twenty million people who decided, hmm...ice cream would be good today.
but then I got called into work for a couple hours, and they told me about free ice cream day, and they couldn't believe I had never heard of it.
and then, when one of the other girls went on her break, she walked down and brought back three cones for us, and it was just like the nicest thing ever and it made me smile a lot..
