Ya know what? I really don't like my in laws now. Rant ahead, just warning ya.
Just found out that they MOVED without telling me they were going to.
A couple weeks ago, they were down in Texas only 3ish hours away from me and didn't tell me then either.
It's like just because my husband is deployed, ya know their son, our boys and I just don't matter. But then, we didn't matter so much when Mike is around.
Like a few years ago we were going back to our hometown for a quick surprise visit while Mike had a couple days off. So we call his parents before we left to give them the heads up and guess what we find out? His cousin is getting married that weekend with my father in law officiating (Yeah, my FIL is a baptist minister) and a LOT of out of town family was coming. Well THANKS SO MUCH for telling us. Thankfully we found out before we left so we could pack some dress clothes for everyone.
Oh and even better. When my husband was deployed the first time. I was 19 years old, PREGNANT and living 20 minutes away from his parents. I had a csection, WITHOUT MY HUSBAND. My mom was in the OR with me and my in laws were in the waiting room with our oldest son. After delivery they bring Hunter into my room and LEAVE! For some church thing. They didn't even wait until Tristin was out of the nursery (he was having breathing problems so it took a little bit). They didn't see Tristin until three days later when I was out of the hospital and I called THEM to come over.
Or the time they gave us a car then three weeks later asked for it back so they could give it to some guy from their church. Yeah I was thrilled. I was stuck out in the boonies with a baby without a car while Mike was working.
They didn't like me much back in high school. Thought I was a "bad influence". It didn't matter much then what they thought of me but damnit Mike and I are married! We have three kids! They aren't just treating me this way, they are treating their son and their only grandkids this way.
Ya know what. Fuck them. 7 years of bull shit, 9 1/2 if you count our dating years, now I'm done. They may be "good Christian people" but they treat my family like shit. How is that good Christian behavior?
Yeah I'm pissed. Sorry. This is the only place I can really vent. I wish Mike was home.

Vent away. For a "good Christian family" they don't seem to follow the scriptures too well, which is shocking because your fil is a minister! WTF! Now, I'm not at all a religious person, but I do know they aren't supposed to act like this. So, you are right, FUCK THEM!
