This rant comes from a discussion I recently had with a friend on the subject of nudity and the criminalisation of the sex worker industry. I find myself at a weird crossroads with people. Several people I know want to put an end to stigma of the human body. Be it through the “free the nipple” thing or whatever else. Then they look at nude models on things such as onlyfans, Suicide girls, and other media’s. Doing nothing but chastising them for using the female and Male body as a tool to make money. Using whatever excuse they want too. Yes I know they are using the sexuality of it to profit. If the shortest point is a straight line. Then wouldn’t be the logical reasoning be put it in your face more. Stop chastising the nude and alternative models for their use of the human body because to quote my least favourite line “my body, my choice.” If you want the human body to no longer be a dirty thing them stop saying things against those that are using it as a thing of beauty. It doesn’t matter if they are spread eagle and god and country are showing; or if they are choosing to just causally walk to go check the mail. You can’t be for “the human body is a beautiful thing” movement and keep the stigma on those in the sex work industry. Also keep in mind this next generation of people that will lead the country (the one after mine) are a part of generation nude selfie. A generation where more than 2/3rds of the population have sent either a dick pic or a boob pic to an ex and/or current partner. I look at it like this; if you don’t want to see a naked body don’t look at it. You’re personal rights aren’t being violated unless they are throwing their naked body on you or at you. If you don’t want to be looked at like a piece of meat then use discretion if and when you choose to be naked in front others. If you have no problem letting you dangly bits show to everyone then more power to you. If you aren’t that comfortable with it then simply don’t.
