On Tuesday, I drove down or over or however you want to look at it to Savannah. It was a mostly uneventful drive. I had a little trouble finding the hotel, but not too much. It was a little worse for wear, not that it was brand new last time I was there. The barbecue restaurant two doors down was closed. That was a bit of a disappointment. I found a sub place down the street that was pretty good. I didn't take any pics that day.
On Wednesday, however, I took a bunch. So many that today I'll only post the ones up to lunch.
I started off at the Scarbrough House, home of the Ships of the Sea Museum.
When the eyes are green, the cathouse is open.
A display of scrimshaw, the art of carving ivory.
A pic of the garden in back.
Then I went down to River Street. Here's a view of the Savannah River taken from River Street.
I then made my way to the Pirate's House for lunch. It really was frequented by pirates back in the day. Captain Flynn from Treasure Island died there. Supposedly his ghost and others haunt the place.
I ran into a familiar looking pirate there.

That has an interesting ring to it. What exactly is in that punch?
