The zoo here was really big! I liked it a lot. There were baby cheetahs (four months old). They were soooooo cute! There was also a baby panda. I love baby animals! I was exhausted by the time I left. It was just so huge. I was wearing a skirt, so I ended up with a bunch of bug bites on my legs. But, hey, I guess they need to eat too! Although, I don't eat animals, but at least it didn't kill me. Wow, I am a dork.
Yesterday I found a baby squirrel that had been injured. It was so sad! He had been attacked by some kind of animal. I took him and bandaged him up and got some fluids in him. I thought he was going to die, but he made it! The fluids really helped get some spunk back in him. I gave him gatorade. A vet told me to do that once for a hampster I had that was dying so he would get some electrolytes back into his system. It worked really well then, so I thought I would try it again. It worked. I gave him to some animal control and they said when he was better they would release him back into the wild! YAY!!!! I was really happy. I was really stressed about it.
Today I saw the original constitution. That was pretty cool. I can't say it blew me away though... I mean it was cool, but seriously, the 500 year old+ artwork is way more impressive to me!
I worked out today for the first time since I was really really sick. I have tried a few other times, but it hurt to much from my surgeries and stuff. I wasn't quite healed or something. Plus, I have endometriosis which is chronically painful, but I have that under control really well with the help of a naturopath. Anyway, I ran 2.25 miles straight. Most of the time I was on an incline. I was really proud of myself. I didn't think I would do that well. I am so excited because I LOVE to work out and haven't been able to for such a long time. Yippy!!!
I had a way better day today! I think my roommate and I aren't going to be the best of friends, but we both don't eat meat and both used to have eating disorders...so we have SOMETHING to relate with. I actually ate lunch with some people today! I was so excited. One of the girls live in my building. She seems awesome. I hope we can hang out or something. Yes, today was good!
I start classes tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!
