Charlize, thanks for writing, and I'm really glad the bf will be there for you. Sounds to me like you've got enough good reasons to go now, rather than wait til the 23rd, but you know the downsides better than anyone else. My only suggestion is that you make your decision after you get some sleep. And for what it's worth, I'm glad I wasn't at the restaurant when the asshole showed up; we don't need a new criminal arrest record now, do we, and chances are the creep needs a major attitude adjustment. . . . I'd be likely to use up all the good kharma I've squirreled away, and then some, just trying to enlighten the guy.

When you go, I suspect you'll have priorties other than SG to keep you occupied, so if we don't hear from you, know you're going with our best wishes, hugs and kisses. But drop us a line now and then, if you can; we'll all want to know how things turn out.

It sounds like you know what you need to do; I know you'll have the courage to do it.

Remember that the point is to be happy, and you can't be happy when you don't feel creative and loved. Goals are important, but they should grow and change along with us, not constrain us.

I know the mix tapes and cd's that are made during a relationship is sucky to listen too after. Believe me. I used to make a mix tape and cue it to "our" song. Then slip it into her car stereo. romantic? i thought so.

Good luck and going home isn't always a bad idea, but just make sure you do it for the right reasons. A bad relationship isn't always the right reason.

DC can be a tough town at first; once I settled in, though, I made some friends I wouldn't trade for anything.

I've found personally that there is always a balance in the whatever there is that binds reality together. Pain seems to be counter-balanced by hope... from there, I have no clue.
