I Started work at 13.45pm yesterday and I will finish at 11.30am today. That's a long Goddamn shift folks! I'll admit I'm on a cushy number and I don't exactly work hard but it's still a long time to be away from home. I've taken to listening to podcasts to help me get off to sleep when I'm here - I stay with my patient/client throughout the day, help him with anything he wants to do then at 10.00pm I go to the staff bedroom, lock the door and get paid (a pretty decent amount of money) to play around on the internet and sleep. Like I said, pretty cushy. I've been listening to the Ted Talks podcasts and they're pretty good but I'm really impressed with the Stuff You Should Know podcasts - they go into minute detail about everything from how a pez dispenser works to what exactly happens when you die. Amazing. Anyway, this was me last night getting ready to listen to the "most infamous traitors" podcast. I would highly recommend giving it a go. Especially if you struggle to sleep - always helps me to relax.
Have a lovely week y'all! X x
