At last, this wretched cold spell is about to break. While the snow melts, we'll have slush and mud, but who cares? The temperatures are finally going to go above freezing, and I can chuck the ear muffs!
I've been going to Planet Rock, a local rock and roll bar, on Friday and Saturday nights to drink beer and listen to local rock bands blast away. Some of them are pretty darned good. This last weekend Lennex, from Maryland, I think, was the visiting band, and they weren't too bad. Once in awhile someone I know drifts in and gives me company, but most of the time I just sit by myself and check out the chicks. Some nights this can be pretty scary, but usually there are a couple of lookers. It sure beats staying at home and listening to the animals snore.
