It's the last day of summer, and another chilly one at that. This time I got a fire going in the fireplace without smoke billowing throughout the house. Nice!
So far, I haven't been bothered by bats since opening up the fireplaces. Of course, with the cooler weather, they aren't as active. Come next Spring, I'll have to block the fireplaces off again. I hope to get the chimneys worked on before then and install screens over the flus, but we'll see if and when my cousin, a bricklayer, gets around.

Yeah! It's too early in the season to turn on the furnace, because the utility company charges an arm and a leg for natural gas. I like to keep my bedroom cool, but last night--Brrrr!!

My current boyfriend of 2 years does have a job mate, he's paid more per hour than I am, but unfortunately he has an ex wife and three little ones of his own so child support takes a huge chunk out of our monthly bill paying money ($675 to be exact) so we struggle quit a lot even though he and I make decent money. Kids complicate things a lot more than people think. He's been loyal and paying child support for over three years, wish I could say the same about my baby's father.
