Last night at work was fuckng BRUTAL. My job pays well and everything but some nights it kicks my ass and leaves me for dead. I am exhausted this morning. I'm used to having to deal with my crew and treat them like little kids to get them to work but when the machine doesn't do what I want either, I always end up coming home dirty on the outside, sore on the surface, and mushy in the brain. Who knew junk mail could be so difficult?
My neighbors upstairs are getting married today! I'm super happy for them. I can't wait to go to the wedding this afternoon. I love going to weddings. Everyone is always so nice and just out to enjoy other people's company. They always have such a good vibe to them. That and there is love in the air and I don't think I love anything in this world more than love. As cheesy as it sounds it's the truth, brother!
I hope I can get some quality sleep before I get up for the big day. I've been having horrendous nightmares for about three months or so. Not the jumpy creepy shit under the bed kind either. They have been more or less like distorted memories of my life. Things I did wrong, poor choices I've made. Just reliving them in my sleep would be bad enough but they are different, more twisted than I remember. It's like my subconscious is rubbing everything I've ever done in my face. Ugh.
Having tonight off and getting paid for it is gonna be pretty rad. I don't think I'll stay at the reception late, though. Other than the three people that live upstairs I won't really know a soul at the reception so it'll probably be an early exit and TV tonight. I've been avoiding drinking lately a little, which is strange I guess but not a bad thing anyway. It's certainly cheaper to live without booze around. Don't get me wrong, though. I haven't given it up. That will probably never happen until I take the dirt nap. I do love my rum..
My summer is shaping up to be a pretty busy one, now. Wedding today, Duluth next weekend to visit my oldest friends, Convergence the weekend after that, another wedding the weekend after that, then in two weeks following wedding #2 my two best friends in the whole world are coming to stay with me for four days! I can't wait to see Cayle and Andy. It'll be the first time in about 5 years the three of us will be in the same room together.
Just one more month until the Dark Knight comes out. I've never been so excited to see a movie in my entire life.
Life's a funny thing, wouldn't you say? Just when I had decided that meeting new people was not something I was interested in anymore I meet someone who's company I seem to enjoy an unbelievable amount. I hung out with Snazzy on Wednesday and had an amazing time. I can't remember the last time I had nonstop conversation with someone for nearly 5 hours. I can't believe I felt at ease enough with a new person to actually speak that much. I'm usually a shy guy with people I don't know. (Unless I've been drinking) I'm especially nervous around beautiful women but I didn't feel that at all with her. Yay for me! I'm actually really looking forward to seeing her again.
Well this entry is getting long winded and I'm really tired. I'm sure when I get up later and reread what I just wrote I'll chuckle at myself.

I've been trying to cut back on my drinking too, hasn't been working so well though!
