Coming back from the mall today, where I did more drinking than I did shopping, my friends and I drove by an apartment fire.

15 feet from the complex I realized where I was and that one of my dearest friends lives in that complex. I made my friend stop the car and I ran to her apartment. The garage across the way from her place was on fire, car-barque. I rang her bell and she wasn't home. I left her a message on her cell phone.. something along the lines of "Sweetie, it's me, I'm in your parking lot, the garage across the way is burning down. Your place is fine. Where are you? Are you ok?"

Back story: A few years ago the garage she was storing all of her stuff in while she was in between apartments caught fire and she lost all her shit.. fucking EVERYTHING!

So, she get's my message and fucking freaks out.. speeds home and sees that her shit's safe and her place is in tact.

She just called me. She's fine and all is well.

Today was quite an adventure.


** Side note: Didn't meet up with my sister today for shopping, she had a long day and went home to sleep. I missed her.
