Todays ride was almost as tough as yesterdays, but instead of a headwind, I was coping with jello-legs brought on by excesses yesterday.
Did hook up with a fast paceline coming out of bragg creek, and did about 20 km at 52-53kph. My turns on the front were hellish, but it sure is fun to ride the middle of a fast group and watch the world zip by.
For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, when road cyclists rise in tight groups we call it 'drafting' and simply by alternating the lead (only the leader bears the full brunt of the airs resistance. So you pedal your guts out for 3 minutes, then duck behind and just idle along until it's your turn again. The more guys in the group, the shorter your turns at the front can be, and eventually a good group can hold steady speeds of 50 and even 60kph.

And by the way, maybe one day I'll post more bandgeek pics. If you're really sweet.
