Got fired. Whee! It's funny. I hated my old job so much, and did shit to piss people off actually HOPING I'd get fired so I'd have no reason to stay. I stayed there for over a year, and could probably walk in, ask for my job back and walk out employed again if I wanted to. Now that I had found a job I actually liked I only managed to keep it for barely a month and a half. It's just kinda frustrating. Can't bring myself to be angry about it though. The Ranger Surplus is still awesome, and my boss was ridiculously patient with me, so what can I really do?
Looking into the Coast Guard as a possible next job. It seems like it has a potential to be interesting. Maybe if I do the Coast Guard for a while it'll instill a better sense of discipline in me for future jobs? Not that that was really my problem. One of the first things most employers note about me is how much of a hard worker I am. My problem was just keeping my head on straight. It wasn't any singular problem that got me fired, it was a collection of smaller mistakes built up over a while.
Either that or the USPS. A friend had looked into it and suggested it to me. Apparently if you get a good score on their test thing you can get $17.50 an hour relatively easily.
