Aaaagh! So dead/stressed!
So this Ranger Surplus job situation did not turn out favorably for me. I got the job, but it's definitely only part time until I'm done getting trained, and then I'm only going to get a full time position 1) if business warrants one becoming available, and 2) if the manager thinks I deserve it.
This sucks because I was trying to figure out how this would work with my manager at the Surplus, and he advised I not quit the deli job yet because he couldn't give me that many hours at the moment. So we tried to work out how I could balance the two, and we decided that I'd work the Surplus Mondays and Wednesdays every week during the closing shift (to avoid weekly confusion when the new schedules are posted). As a result, I'm certain my boss at the deli is going to put me on the schedule every day except for those two days.
So until I manage to secure a full-time position at the Surplus, I'm stuck with an even larger deficit of free time and I'm going to have to make sure I'm doing my absolute best at both jobs so that I can get the full time at the Surplus when/if it becomes available and so that I leave on good terms (and don't get fired) at the deli, because I know that my boss there is probably going to consider just dropping me as soon as he catches wind that I'm planning to leave, even though it's uncertain and not for a while no matter what.
Also, I got called in to the deli yesterday morning because whoever was supposed to work called in sick, so I missed what would have been my last in-car session, so I'm going to have to reschedule and blah blah blah blah blahrgreoiroihstoilurhseiurhtiuhsrt...
In conclusion/summary: FUCK! *headdesk*
