Ha! I filled out a dating profile for myself. Kind of ironic a thing for me to do, in a way. I never liked the idea of online "dating services"... or any dating service, for that matter... and I still don't. Not that meeting someone over the internet is a bad thing, I'm just cynical about their ability to produce a truly quality relationship.
I suppose that I might just be looking at it the wrong way. I suppose they can't hurt as a way of meeting people. Mostly what irks me about dating services is the attitude that certain ones take about trying to assume they know what types of matches produce "love". Love is too complex an emotion to ever be quantified with any real certainty. On the contrary, what SG has going is a more reasonable approach... letting people look around, and if they find someone interesting they have the option to pursue it and see where it goes. At the very least it's far better than pairing people with what amounts to an over-inflated internet meme as a guide.
Ha! Equally ironic is the fact that I'm waxing philosophical and all that BS on a site that effectively centers around naked women...
