Well work keeps kicking my ass, but a week between posts is not so bad.
I've been playing God of War (yes, the game is ancient and I'm behind the times) and I've realized something about myself. All my friends go on and on about how amazing the story of the game is, and it is a very good, very "Greek tragedy" kinda story, but I've been unable to get into it very much.....and then I realized that it's because there's no romance in it. The main part of any story that always initially hooks me is the romance, and of course God of War doesn't have that, else Kratos would not be epically angry at the world.
But it's made me realize just how sappy I am, and how sad it realy is that I am without a mate. I want to love someone and feel loved by them again, I want to be able to play a game or read a book with a romance in it and immediately put someone in that heroine role, because I see myself as the hero....
Oh well, enough moping about, it's time for work. And lack of romance notwithstanding, if you get a chance, play God of War....it is epically cool, if also epically violent, just like a good Greek myth ought to be.

I love it when simple things like that happen. I'm going to remember that man for the rest of my life. Strange how the words of a stranger sting deeper than the words of the people closest to me. xo
