So, I had free tickets to Ratatouile, and got detoured into Evan Almighty on the way out *little halo* so I'll give a rundown.
Ratatouile: Pixar never fails to make a good movie and even though this might be my least favorite one, it's still very enjoyable. The story is good, though some people will inevitably decry it, cuz its a very stereotypical children's movie type story (rat wants to be a chef, boy doesn't know how to cook, so they team up to become great, but learn lessons along the way). However I found it enjoyable and amusing. And you could go to the movie just to see Pixar flex their animative muscle, they do a wonderful job capturing Paris, and little things like water effects, or the way the rats move was exceptional.
Evan Almighty: Steve Carrell is funny. There is no one in America that will argue with this. That alone tells you that you should see this movie, but its not the only reason. The writers once again did a good job of making a story about Christian mythos that's not preachy or super religious. Morgan Freeman as God is just as wonderful as in Bruce Almighty, and plays well off Steve Carrell. There are some great funny parts and everyone in the theatre was left laughing.
Actually, on that note, Ratatouile may have been overshined by the short that Pixar put on this time, I won't spoil anything, but myself and everyone else in the theatre were in tears laughing the whole time.
Well, i welcome responses to my opinions, and if I get them, I may start regularly updating with these little blurbs on games/movies/anime that i'm currently absorbed in.
