Hey guys, I'm back~
Still busy busy, but I've missed this place too much to stay away!
Life is going by beautifully, I feel so inspired to work and so lucky to have the opportunities that I do.
Sure, things aren't exactly perfect - I'm constantly absolutely skint and my (paying) job isn't secure at all, due to a dickhead supervisor who seems to be doing everything in his power to get rid of me.
BUT.
I'm having a fucking ball at this tattoo studio that I'm apprenticing at. I love each of the artists there, all amazing, fun, genuine people and all amazing at what they do. I love seeing the incredible work they're producing every day, and I can't wait til I'm doing the same.
And it's right across the road from Starbucks, which is absolutely perfect.
I love that I'm doing coffee runs for the studio so often now that I can chat and joke around with the guys there.
I'm so inspired to work on art too right now - so many ideas, so little time!
I can't wait to see where my art takes me in the near future. I can't wait to show you guys some of the ideas I've got cooking up in this little head of mine!
In the meantime... remember that painting of AnnaLee I've been posting progress shots of forever?
Finally finished!!
Near on four months, I spent on this... I've improved so much in that time, I can see the difference in skill from where I started the painting and where it ended. (Apparently it's not that obvious to others, but it feels like a huge leap) I can't wait to work on new stuff to see just how much this painting has taught me, cause it feels like a huge learning curve was going on these past few months.
I'm planning to open an Etsy shop where you can purchase prints of this, and possibly other things, along with originals, hand-embellished prints, possibly custom clothing... So if you like this painting (or any of my work, really), keep an eye out for that!
Here's some of the other stuff I've been doing lately, some sketchbook pages and some that you might find in the store (I'm still deciding...) - Like I said, I've been a busy little bunny!
Also, England has been getting some much-needed glorious sunshine as of late. Might not seem like a big deal, but the weather has a huge impact on my mood - and I'm definitely a summer kid. Me and my boy swung by a river near where I work to take advantage of the sunshine before my shift earlier this week, and it was beautiful. (Even if we did get absolutely covered in sticky ice-cream.)
I'm feeling very lucky at the moment. I hope life is being as kind to you guys too!
Glad to be back, SG Really have missed you guys.
